Your Unresolved Emotions Might Be Driving Your Child’s Behaviours
How sensitive are horses to your energy and mood

Is my child’s behaviour normal?

Do you have kids who play up a little more than you think is normal for a child of their age?

Perhaps they have a diagnosis, a label that encompasses their behaviours or the way the show up in the world.

This may surprise you, but it is possible that their behaviours are, in fact, triggered by unresolved emotions and energies sitting deep in YOUR unconscious.

You see, we all choose our families. At a soul level we decide before we incarnate who our family will be, what lessons we are coming to learn, and how we are to help each other.

That help, often, looks like helping each other grow. And growth can be uncomfortable!

Your child may have come as someone to help YOU shift and heal stuff from your past.

It’s an interesting thought, isn’t it.

As I have said, this will be sitting in your unconscious and will quite probably not be in your conscious radar. You may have zero awareness of it.

It is also worth noting here that your children will also have their own life experiences, their own traumas which will be a part of their story. But it won’t be the whole. We are all a product of our environment(s).

Unresolved emotions in the body

With methodologies developed over the past many years, and derived from the better understanding that neuroscience now has over how we are wired, it is possible to dig shallow, dig deep, find and heal these trapped energies.

Let me explain further.

Say you were in a situation as a little kid where something happened that overwhelmed your being. It may have been as simple as being told to be quiet when you needed to speak. It may have been a more apparently large event. But either way, your nervous system was impacted and the energy of the emotion in that moment got stuck in your body because it was not allowed to express to completion.

Ever since, your highly intelligence subconscious has attracted situations in your life that have offered opportunity for these energies to find resolution. If you reflect on life, can you identify repeat patterns of your own behaviour, of relationships, of situations?

What do your children do (or say) that triggers you?

These reactions are all your unconscious crying out for help.

How to resolve unresolved emotions

Our being wants to live in a state of ease, comfort and flow, but whilst these energies remain unresolved within us, it is hard to do so.

This ‘work’ – and I use the word work because others do and I haven’t yet come up with something better – this work should be done in the presence of a trauma trained practitioner. It is critical that you are held safe through the process and not retraumatised.

This is not – and I emphasise NOT – talk therapy. It is somatic work, working with the sensations held in the body. Talk is certainly involved because that is how the majority of us communicate with each other. But sessions involve finding sensations, deriving meaning from them, learning from them and ultimately releasing them.

Once released these behavioural and life repeat patterns shift. Sometimes in subtle ways. Sometimes more blatantly.

We are all unique in our makeup. Some people are able to go really deep in one session. Others need to titrate gently, softly, piece by piece. And an informed, trained practitioner will be able to work with the individual you as is needed.

They will facilitate a session. They will prompt, provoke, guide. But ultimately every session is controlled and led by you.

Healing generational traumas

They say we are the Master of our own destiny. I wonder if you are up for the challenge?

Are you ready to do your own healing, to grow?

To offer your loved ones a different life experience?

To learn from and for your children?

Growth requires effort. When a seed germinates, the first leaves have to push the pod aside. A butterfly emerging from a cocoon has a tremendous struggle (and they do not emerge as butterflies if the process is interrupted or ‘helped’ by another).

Nature shows us the strength and power required for growth and change …

And it shows us the ultimate resultant beauty.

I went to Soo to participate in some Equine Therapy sessions as an alternative to seeing a psychologist and after the first session I knew I had chosen the right avenue to help with my anxiety, stress and particularly some past trauma. I felt very safe with Soo and the herd. As the first session was so enlightening I had wondered what the following five weeks would bring up, if anything. I was surprised at what did arise and was very grateful to Soo and the herd for giving me some tools and practices to take home and which I am still using to manage daily life. I would thoroughly recommend HCFH to anyone who needs to let go of anything that is holding them back from living a more fulfilled and peaceful life. Soo and the horses are amazing healers.
